Hello everyone,

There is a misleading article in the Sunday, June 15, 2008 sports section of the Spartanburg Herald-Journal regarding the suspension of a NASCAR official by the name of Bud Moore. This is NOT the legendary car owner from Spartanburg, Walter "Bud" Moore, but instead may be Paul "Bud" Moore, originally from Charleston, SC.

Paul "Bud" Moore was a race driver with NASCAR back in the 1960's and has been involved with racing for years in various jobs, since his retirement as a driver. This article, written by Jenna Fryer of the Associated Press states that there is an investigation into possible wrongdoings by a "Bud" Moore, who is currently working for NASCAR. Paul "Bud" Moore was always referred to as "Little" Bud Moore during his tenure as a driver. Hopefully, these allegations will prove to be false; however, this article has led to tremendous grief for our own Bud Moore and his family, of Spartanburg, SC and I wish to clarify matters with regard to this article.
