New Location. . .New Time. . .Same Great Fun!!
Music on Main, the popular every-Thursday night event that runs April-August will have a new location and time for its 20th season. Starting with the first concert on April 4, MOM will be held just below Morgan Square in the grassy area between the iconic Downtown Clock Tower, Broad Street, and the Herald Journal offices. The only street closure will be a small portion of Spring Street. The event will run from 5:30-8:30 pm. A rockin’ good time
Music on Main is Downtown Spartanburg’s favorite after-work social gathering. A destination point where you can meet your friends and colleagues, hear great live music, enjoy food and beverages in an outdoor setting. The once a week concert is held each Thursday evening from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm in Downtown Spartanburg. Hear live music chosen from an eclectic line-up from Blues to Reggae, from Country to Beach.
MOM Gives Back to the Community
Not only does Music on Main provide entertainment for the local community, but it also serves as an excellent fund-raising opportunity for Spartanburg’s civic organizations. Club members serve as volunteers at each Music on Main concert and then receive a percentage of the sales to support their charities. Since MOM’s inception over $175,000 has been donated to local civic organizations. Some of the groups who volunteer at Music on Main each year include Critter Connection, Knights of Columbus, Spartanburg Jaycees, Spartanburg Ski Club, Spartanburg Downtown Association, Quest Charities, Spartanburg Charter School, and many more. (All Volunteer Spots are full for the 2013 season.)
