How about some more Braves coverage this year? The complete pre-game show and fewer prempetions? That’s what Braves fans really want!

Thanks BravesFan. Its always a balancing act trying to best serve all our listeners. We don’t always carry the pre-game because of SportsTalk with Phil Kornblut. Its a great regional show with a large following in our area. We try to pick up as many games as possible but come August, football will take precedence over the Bravos. We’re glad you listen, keep the feedback coming!

I am so proud to have known Carl. We went to High School together in our native Jamaica and he has truly set the example as an inspiration to those of us who started so humbly and now have achieved so much. The awesome thing is that there is so much more he wants to do for others and I’m rooting for you, Mr. Whyte!

Great interview. Toby is an awesome person and a great coach. If you have a child between the ages of 6 and 19 and you want them to be good/great at football, Toby is your man. His passion and knowledge for the game is above all. You need to send them to one or both of his camps.

This is the first time I have listened to Ron Morris and it will be my last. As a citizen of South Carolina, I am really ashamed that Mr. Morris is so intent in hurting our state University. For some reason, Mr. Morris has some sort of vendetta against Coach Spurrier. It sounded more to me that he was upset he would have lost his job had he been caught doing what Coach Mangus did, yet Mangus did not. He also kept mentioning that his discipline did not hurt the team. Why should it hurt the team? The team had nothing to do with what happened that night. As far as Stephen Garcia is concerned, while 5 suspensions is quite a bit for any athlete, nothing he has really done (other than one occasion) ever impacted anyone but himself. He is not a criminal and as a mother of a child almost his age, I applaud the University for sticking by him and helping him through his problems.

How about a story next time focusing on some of the wonderful stories coming out of the University of South Carolina? For the one or two things that you see as “selling out” you for some reason fail to see all of the wonderful and positive stories coming out of our football department. How about the 25 football players that recently graduated? How about our players leading the SEC with almost a 2.8 GPA. How about all the wonderful community programs and projects are players are involved in? How about getting to know our players better and realizing that the young men playing for USC now, are a different type of player than what was recruited in years past. For the most part, these are good, high character kids that are hard workers. How about all the GOOD Coach Spurrier and Eric Hyman have done in the past 5-6 years? Why no mention of any of that. It is obvious to many fans out there (and not just USC fans) that your beef is really with Steve Spurrier. It’s sad that you cannot put that bitterness to the side and write an unbiased story.

I rarely read The State paper and this interview and the piece I read on Sunday only validates why I no longer subscribe.

Morris certainly had an axe to grind with Lou Holtz and couldn’t hide his vendetta against him. Now that Lou has moved on, his disdain has squarely fallen on SC football. Some folks like Morris always focus on the negative and tend to thrive on it. I pity MoRon and those like him.

Right on Susan, that hit the mark.

What about Scout.com (I think the most accurate) and MaxPreps?

Thanks for reading and commenting Mark. Smitty used rivals.com and 247sports.com because we have close ties with writers from those sites and the info was readily available. But he’s no slacker and promises to expand the rankings tomorrow.

We appreciate everyone who signed the petition and/or helped spread the word. Unfortunately, we’ve learned it is District 3 policy to wait a minimum of three years before naming any part of the school after someone.
