Live Show from Memory Lane Museum in Mooresville
On Saturday March 26th, we will be broadcasting Droppin’ the Hammer live from the Memory Lane Museum in Mooresville, NC.
This museum will be hosting the fifth annual Legends helping Legends event. Racing legends have gathered to help raise funds for folks from the racing community that are suffering through health problems. This year the group will reaching out to help former championship winning engine builder Harold Elliott.
Harold worked for Blue Max Racing in the eighties when Rusty Wallace won the 1989 Championship. Recently Harold has been suffering from the affects of a stroke and dementia.
A large group of racing legends will be on hand with the featured guest being Bobby Allison. Other former drivers and racing dignitaries are planning to attend this event including Donnie Allison, 1960 NASCAR Champion Rex White, Deb Williams, Tom Higgins, Tiger Tom Pistone, Jimmy Hensley, Lee Holman, Dave Moody, Jim Vadiver, Ronnie Thomas, Neil Castles, Elliott Forbes Robinson, Francis Flock (Tim Flock’s widow,) Wanda Lund (Tiny Lund’s widow) along with former RCR crew members of the late Dale Earnhardt including engine builder Lou Larosa, gasman Danny ‘Chocolate’ Myers and former driver turned crewman Cecil Gordon.
If you have never visited this museum you are missing a real treat. You will find race cars, classic cars and trucks in the showroom; over 150 items are on display including many one-of-a-kind vehicles.
